As Qatar prepared to welcome the world for the FIFA World Cup, the expansion of Hamad International Airport (HIA) stood out as a symbol of luxury, innovation, and efficiency. The new phase impressed global travelers with its modern architecture and seamless functionality — but one critical and often invisible aspect played a pivotal role in elevating the passenger experience: acoustics.
Acoustic consultancy services were instrumental in shaping the comfort and quality of the airport environment. Every detail, from sound insulation to ambient noise control, contributed to a premium, stress-free atmosphere. Key Aspects of the Acoustic Strategy at HIA:

To achieve optimal acoustic performance, consultants reviewed the internal partition build-ups and finish materials of various spaces. Recommendations were made to align with international and operator standards, ensuring acoustic privacy in lounges, boarding zones, and business-class areas.
